Welcome!

We are family friendly (and friendly dog welcoming) brewery and beer hall at the corner of Broadway & Union. We are very excited to be a part of the diverse and vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood and look forward to getting to know our neighbors. We have plenty of beer on tap but also offer a variety of alternatives. Food trucks will continue to park with us every day for when you get hungry.

Citra IPA

ABV: 5.90    IBU: 50.00    SRM: 3.00
We like to call this one Sunshine In a Glass ... or Sunshine In Your Belly because it won't stay in that glass long. Our Citra® IPA is designed to be light and bright in both color and body. Your first sniff will elicit images of tropical fruit and citrus thanks to a healthy dose of Citra® hops. Enjoy a pint of this and you might just find yourself gazing skyward, pondering how in the heck sunshine made its way into your glass.

Imported German 2-row barley and Roy Farms Adeena hops give this German-style pils its crisp, clean character. Warning: this beer's subtle grain sweetness, spicy hop aroma and refreshingly dry, hop-forward finish may elicit a spontaneous Prost!

NW Red

Our Northwest Red Ale provides a distinctly Northwest hop character balanced with a restrained malt sweetness. We use 2 Row barley along with Best Maltz Red X to create a rich, red color and a smooth, satisfying taste. A hint of chocolate seals the deal.

German Springtime Lager

Pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts provide the platform for this springtime delight. Designed to be malt forward in flavor with some toasty and light caramel notes, but lagered and hopped for a crisp, refreshing balance. This is the perfect beer for a springtime picnic.

Robust Porter

Rich in color and character, our robust porter conjures up memories of decadent chocolate treats dipped in coffee. Hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and light malty sweetness are the result of a complex malt profile including chocolate malt, roasted wheat and roasted rye.

Indoor Tropics IPA

So yeah, it's winter in the great Northwest, but somewhere it's warm and tropical. We might not be there in body, but we can be there in spirit. Geography is no match for our imaginations! Step 1: turn up the heat in your house. Step 2: boil a big pot of water and whatever you do, don't open the door to let the humidity out. Step 3: drag that sad, neglected house plant from the front window and set it next to your chair. That plant is probably dreaming about the tropics, too. Step 4: Pour yourself a pint of our Indoor Tropics IPA and inhale the citrus, pineapple and passionfruit aromas from Citra, Loral and Vic Secret hops. Step 5. Sit back, drink up and transport yourself to a tropical paradise.

Sandals & Flannels (Hazy) IPA

You know the story. We're nostalgic for 90's Seattle when the sound of grunge music and the smells of patchouli filled the air. Sometimes we like to relive the good ole days while reveling in new trends like Hazy IPA. So we brew a batch of this beer, pack it with the brightest, citrusiest, peachiest, passion fruitiest hops we can find, like Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy. And then we sit back, sip and trip on down memory lane.

Everybody Love Everybody IPA

ABV: 6.60    IBU: 41.00    SRM: 4.00
In good times and in bad times, if we just remember to love each other, everything will be okay. And what better way to celebrate our shared human experience than to enjoy a beer brewed just for you from your friends at Stoup (who love you very much)? Try this smooth, moderately bittered IPA dry hopped with Belma, Strata, Galaxy and a touch of Sabro. It's strawberry, passion fruit and citrus, all wrapped in a hug of a beer.

Thesis Generator IPA

ABV: 6.90    IBU: 56.00    SRM: 3.00

Over here at Stoup, we miss our school days. We miss 5 paragraph essays,long story problems and wearing backpacks filled with pee chee folders. Why, oh why is the fun so fleeting?! In an effort to keep that school spirit alive, we decided it would be fun to write a thesis paper. Really, how hard could it be? To get started, we needed to generate a thesis statement. This is what we came up with: "To make a perfect IPA, you must use delicious ingredients and add just the right hops to make the flavor and aroma pop". Then we researched thousands of hop combinations and determined that Loral, Talus, Citra Cryo and El Dorado together would add aromas of pink grapefruit, berry and pineapple and would be freakin' delicious. Then we brewed our Thesis Generator IPA, drank it and determined that our thesis statement was 100% correct. Man, writing a thesis is soooo easy!

Pistol Fingers IPA

ABV: 6.90    IBU: 75.00    SRM: 6.00
We love Mosaic Hops. We went all in and brewed a beer that uses three versions of them: 1) Traditional T90 hop pellets,  2) Cryo pellets, and 3) Pure resin CO2 extract. The result? A beer that screams signature Mosaic aromas with flavors of mango and citrus from start to finish!

What a Tart Raspberry Sour

ABV: 4.00    IBU: 8.00    SRM: 3.00
Originating on a base of 2-row and wheat malt and then soured using a novel yeast strain from the genus Lachancea, this mouthwatering, visual delight is the talk of the town. Raspberry additions make for a crisp, moderately tart, fruit-filled refresher.

Black Punk IPA

Celebrating the release of Black Punk Now, a new book co-edited by James Spooner, Black Punk Weekend features live music and an impactful collection of Black Punk films including the seminal documentary Afro-Punk. We are proud to support the music, culture and activism within the black (and often isolated) punk community with this light, hoppy, crushable IPA. Hops: Idaho 7, Azacca, Centennial.

Fresh Hop Fiend IPA

ABV: 7.20    IBU: 65.00    SRM: 4.00
This version of our Fresh Hop Fiend series is possible because of innovative technology that takes fresh, unkilned hops and flash freezes them. They are then pelletized into lupulin rich pellets and stored frozen. We used Simcoe hops in this beer which means we can get freshly harvested hop flavor any time of the year!

Baltic Porter

Our Baltic Porter was built on a base of 2-row, Munich and Mild malts for a malt forward, rich flavor. It was made smooth through fermentation with lager yeast and extended cold fermentation.

Parking

We don't have onsite parking, but there is 2- and 4-hour street parking around Stoup Brewing and several pay lots noted on the map. 
We are 4 blocks from the Capitol Hill Station of the Link Light Rail and 1 block from the Broadway and Pike Station of the First Hill Streetcar Line.
