Welcome

We have plenty of options for everyone in our Ballard taproom. Our main bar flows out to ample, covered seating in front of a large garage door. We also have a spacious beer garden with fire-pit seating. Many of our outside areas have overhead heating. Kids and well behaved dogs are welcome in the main taproom, out front and in the beer garden. All seating is first-come/first serve with the exception of private events. Upstairs at Stoup is reserved for 21+ humans only.

Citra IPA

ABV: 5.90    IBU: 50.00    SRM: 3.00
We like to call this one Sunshine In a Glass ... or Sunshine In Your Belly because it won't stay in that glass long. Our Citra® IPA is designed to be light and bright in both color and body. Your first sniff will elicit images of tropical fruit and citrus thanks to a healthy dose of Citra® hops. Enjoy a pint of this and you might just find yourself gazing skyward, pondering how in the heck sunshine made its way into your glass.

Cervecita Mexican Lager

Our Mexican Lager is perfect for sunny days on the patio or the beach...preferably in flip flops. Since we can't guarantee sunny days in Seattle, we kept this lager light and bright and irresistibly crushable, sunshine not required. Salud!

NW Red

Our Northwest Red Ale provides a distinctly Northwest hop character balanced with a restrained malt sweetness. We use 2 Row barley along with Best Maltz Red X to create a rich, red color and a smooth, satisfying taste. A hint of chocolate seals the deal.

German Springtime Lager

Pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts provide the platform for this springtime delight. Designed to be malt forward in flavor with some toasty and light caramel notes, but lagered and hopped for a crisp, refreshing balance. This is the perfect beer for a springtime picnic.

Robust Porter

Rich in color and character, our robust porter conjures up memories of decadent chocolate treats dipped in coffee. Hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and light malty sweetness are the result of a complex malt profile including chocolate malt, roasted wheat and roasted rye.

Farmstand Fantasies Fruited Sour: Guava

Our rotating Farm Stand Fruited Sour series will showcase a variety of fruits in a tart and refreshing beer. We use Lachancea yeast, an exciting yeast that both produces lactic acid and ferments maltose, alongside our house ale yeast. This version highlights Guava.

Mixtape Romeo

In the entire history of humankind, there has never been a more profound expression of love than the personalized mixtape. Hours of deliberation about which songs to share from your home tape collection followed by hours of tiny handwritten playlists with tiny hearts incorporated wherever possible. Follow that with "play"-"record", change tape, "play"-"record" , change tape............This beer is our mixtape for you. For this latest edition of our rotating dry hopped lager series, we first brewed the beer with pilsner malt for a light body and gentle malt sweetness. Then we lagered the beer for several weeks to create a clean, refreshing crispness. As our mixtape final song, we dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and touch of Citra for aromas of melon, berry and grapefruit. Load it up, press play and enjoy.

Sandals & Flannels (Hazy) IPA

You know the story. We're nostalgic for 90's Seattle when the sound of grunge music and the smells of patchouli filled the air. Sometimes we like to relive the good ole days while reveling in new trends like Hazy IPA. So we brew a batch of this beer, pack it with the brightest, citrusiest, peachiest, passion fruitiest hops we can find, like Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy. And then we sit back, sip and trip on down memory lane.

Sticks & Stones BBA Stout

ABV: 9.90    IBU: 52.00    SRM: 39.00
This is a big, bold, roasty stout brewed with generous amounts of English crystal malt and roasted barley. It's aggressively hopped, yet balanced with malt sweetness and a full-bodied mouthfeel. We aged Imperial Stout in 17 year and 8 year Elijah Craig bourbon barrels and then blended with a fresh batch to smooth out the rough edges. The barrels contribute notes of wood, bourbon, chocolate and vanilla.

Everybody Love Everybody IPA

In good times and in bad times, if we just remember to love each other, everything will be okay. And what better way to celebrate our shared human experience than to enjoy a beer brewed just for you from your friends at Stoup (who love you very much)? Try this smooth, moderately bittered IPA dry hopped with Belma, Strata, Galaxy and a touch of Sabro. It's strawberry, passion fruit and citrus, all wrapped in a hug of a beer.

Woodpile IPA

Ain't no season like ski season! What could be better than a ski followed by a delicious beer by the fire? Absolutely nothing. Enjoy this berry, passionfruit and pineapple forward IPA (thanks to Mosaic and Vic Secret hops) while warming your toes after a day on the slopes. Best keep that woodpile stocked! You've got a lot of runs to hit and a lot of beers to drink.

Thesis Generator IPA

ABV: 6.90    IBU: 56.00    SRM: 3.00

Over here at Stoup, we miss our school days. We miss 5 paragraph essays,long story problems and wearing backpacks filled with pee chee folders. Why, oh why is the fun so fleeting?! In an effort to keep that school spirit alive, we decided it would be fun to write a thesis paper. Really, how hard could it be? To get started, we needed to generate a thesis statement. This is what we came up with: "To make a perfect IPA, you must use delicious ingredients and add just the right hops to make the flavor and aroma pop". Then we researched thousands of hop combinations and determined that Loral, Talus, Citra Cryo and El Dorado together would add aromas of pink grapefruit, berry and pineapple and would be freakin' delicious. Then we brewed our Thesis Generator IPA, drank it and determined that our thesis statement was 100% correct. Man, writing a thesis is soooo easy!

Pistol Fingers IPA

ABV: 6.90    IBU: 75.00    SRM: 6.00
We love Mosaic Hops. We went all in and brewed a beer that uses three versions of them: 1) Traditional T90 hop pellets,  2) Cryo pellets, and 3) Pure resin CO2 extract. The result? A beer that screams signature Mosaic aromas with flavors of mango and citrus from start to finish!

So Much Good Hazy DIPA

We put so many delicious hops in this one that we just had to make it a double. Late additions of Galaxy, Citra and Azacca bring a tropical, citrus and passion fruit party right to your mouth.

What a Tart Raspberry Sour

ABV: 4.00    IBU: 8.00    SRM: 3.00
Originating on a base of 2-row and wheat malt and then soured using a novel yeast strain from the genus Lachancea, this mouthwatering, visual delight is the talk of the town. Raspberry additions make for a crisp, moderately tart, fruit-filled refresher.

Black Punk IPA

ABV: 5.10    IBU: 54.00    SRM: 3.00
Celebrating the release of Black Punk Now, a new book co-edited by James Spooner, Black Punk Weekend features live music and an impactful collection of Black Punk films including the seminal documentary Afro-Punk. We are proud to support the music, culture and activism within the black (and often isolated) punk community with this light, hoppy, crushable IPA. Hops: Idaho 7, Azacca, Centennial.

Fresh Hop Fiend IPA

ABV: 7.20    IBU: 65.00    SRM: 4.00
This version of our Fresh Hop Fiend series is possible because of innovative technology that takes fresh, unkilned hops and flash freezes them. They are then pelletized into lupulin rich pellets and stored frozen. We used Simcoe hops in this beer which means we can get freshly harvested hop flavor any time of the year!

Baltic Porter

Our Baltic Porter was built on a base of 2-row, Munich and Mild malts for a malt forward, rich flavor. It was made smooth through fermentation with lager yeast and extended cold fermentation.
